Frequently asked questions
What counts as a page?
A page is a unique URL that has a card generated for it. `?utm=x` query strings don't count as separate pages — they're treated as the same page. Subdomains each count as a separate site (e.g. blog.site.com and docs.site.com are 2 sites) — every workspace includes up to 10 sites.
What's the difference between sites and pages?
Sites are domains you serve cards for. Pages are unique URLs within those sites that have a card generated. Every plan includes up to 10 sites per workspace. Pages differ by tier — Kit gets 1,000/mo, Den gets 10,000/mo, Pack gets 50,000/mo.
Do cached images count toward my page limit?
No. Cache hits are unlimited, forever. Only fresh renders count toward your page quota. Most images are rendered once and served from cache millions of times.
What happens if I go over my page limit?
Nothing breaks and there's no surprise bill. Your page quota has a small grace buffer for the occasional busy month; past that, we simply keep serving each page's last cached image instead of rendering new ones. Bumping to the next tier is one click and prorated whenever you want more fresh renders.
What's an audit email?
A periodic report where we scan your sites and flag pages with missing, duplicate, or stale OG images — each with a link to fix it from your dashboard. It keeps og-fox useful even when you're not actively in the dashboard.
Can I change plans anytime?
Yes. Upgrades and downgrades apply immediately with prorated invoicing, and you can cancel anytime.
Do you support subdomains?
Yes. Each subdomain counts as a separate site toward your workspace's 10-site limit (blog.site.com and site.com are 2 sites). You can choose whether subdomains share a workspace or get separate ones.
What about cache busting? Does it cost me?
Busting the cache and re-requesting an image counts as one new render (1 page against your quota). The default cache TTL is 7 days.
What counts as a 'site'? Can I add the same site twice?
A site is a unique domain or subdomain. The same domain can't be added twice across accounts. Subdomains are separate (blog.site.com ≠ site.com).
How do you prevent abuse of my page quota?
Layered protections, all automatic. Every cache miss passes per-caller budgets (generous for real social crawlers, tight for scripts) plus per-page and per-site fair-use ceilings — 60/hour, 500/day, 5,000/month. Your workspace quota carries a 1.2× grace buffer, and a global daily breaker caps the worst case. Whenever any limit is hit, we keep serving the last cached image, so your links never break.
What if I need more than the Pack plan?
